Just Transition in Stara Zagora

This conference aims to support energy transformation in Eastern Europe by showcasing best practices and lessons learned from other European regions. By focusing on sustainable development, job creation, upskilling and retraining, the event will promote solutions that support the social and economic cohesion of regions in the process of transformation.

Representatives from national and local authorities, the European Union, education and vocational training providers, the private sector, and trade unions, among others, will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, in the context of socio-economic transformation. They will explore the contemporary challenges facing sustainable development in the region, such as mismatches in the labour market.
