Just Transition Forum Asia 2024: Emphasising Finance for Loss and Damage in Just Transition


The Just Transition Forum Asia 2024 will convene leading experts from governments, civil society organisations, academia, the private sector, think tanks, trade unions, as well as national and international research institutes from Asia and beyond, to explore pathways towards a sustainable and equitable future, with an emphasis on finance for loss and damage in just transition.

Organised by the the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and Climate Action Network Southeast Asia (CANSEA), this year’s forum will feature insightful discussions and networking opportunities for stakeholders and decision-makers under the theme Emphasising Finance for Loss and Damage in Just Transition.

The three-day programme will include the following sessions, among others: Financial and Economic Perspectives on Just Transition and Climate Justice; Just Transition Finance in China; Influencing Just Energy Transition Implementation in Southeast Asia; and Implementing Just Coal Transition in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
