Fundamentals of Just Energy Transition in Coal Regions

How can coal regions transform their economies to sustain local livelihoods, economic activities and jobs? How can these regions ensure that the transition from coal to other sources of livelihoods is a just transition that leaves no one behind?

The Foundations Programme on Just Energy Transition in Coal Regions [Fundamentos sobre transición energética justa en regiones carboníferas], offered as part of the ‘Innovative Regions for Just Energy Transition’ (IKI JET) project, aims to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders in and around coal mining regions to work towards a just transition in these regions.

The course offers a practical and comprehensive learning experience over three weeks. Delve into the strategic principles of just transition and exchange ideas with experts and practitioners from around the world.
