First Dialogue under the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme

On June 2-3, the First Dialogue under the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme will take place at the 60th sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) in Bonn, Germany. The focus will be on just transition pathways to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement through nationally determined contributions (NDCs), national adaptation plans (NAPs), and long-term low-emission development strategies (LT-LEDs).

The dialogue will form an important milestone as the first such mandated event under the Just Transition Work Programme, which was formally adopted at COP 28. Just transition stakeholders from around the world will meet to exchange views on opportunities, best practices, actionable solutions, challenges, and barriers relevant to the topic of the first dialogue.
