The session “Broadening Long-Term Energy Scenarios (LTES) to Feature Socio-economic Aspects” will be held as part of IRENA’s 5th International Forum on Long-Term Energy Scenarios, a global platform to exchange knowledge and good practices in the use and development of scenarios to guide the clean energy transition.

The discussion will examine the inclusion of socio-economic elements in LTES to support a just energy transition which ensures fairness and inclusivity. The session will highlight experiences in regions transitioning from fossil-fuel-based economies, and showcase how to incorporate these vital socio-economic elements into LTES.
