Towards a Citizens’ Energy Package: Empowering citizens for a just energy transition
The 16th Citizens’ Energy Forum, titled ‘Towards a Citizens’ Energy Package: Empowering citizens for a just energy transition’, will convene local stakeholders representing NGOs, energy communities, governments, businesses, and citizens to discuss barriers and solutions to effectively empower citizens to ensure a just energy transition.
Organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, the forum will initiate the Commission’s Citizens’ Energy Package, which aims to increase citizen participation in the energy transition and strengthen the social dimension of the Energy Union.
Additionally, a workshop on energy communities will be held on December 4 by the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform. This workshop is open for local and regional authorities, as well as Energy Agencies and other public actors. For further information and registration, visit the workshop page.
