Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week 2024: United Towards a Sustainable Future

Indonesia Sustainable Energy Week (ISEW) seeks to facilitate cross-sectoral discourse between policy-makers, business leaders, experts, and communities. The event will allow participants to network, exchange ideas, and develop a mutual understanding on energy transition that will contribute to medium- and long-term national development plans in Indonesia.

This year, ISEW, which serves as a multi-stakeholder forum on sustainable energy issues, has the overarching theme of United Towards a Sustainable FutuRE: Advancing the Energy Transition for Indonesia Emas and Net Zero Emissions. The week-long event will be hosted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) and Bappenas, and organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with other German-funded implementing organisations in Indonesia.

The last day of ISEW 2024 will focus on just energy transition. Sessions will highlight the socio-economic impacts of energy transition while empowering communities with data-driven insights for inclusive decision-making processes that prioritise local needs and aspirations.

Below is a list of sessions related to just transition. The agenda and speaker line-up are subject to change: for the latest updates, please see here.
