European Conference for a Just Transition

This 2-day conference will bring together EU member states, civil society, and European institutions to discuss the outlines of a European just transition policy framework fit for the future.

The conference will introduce findings from the exploratory opinion to the European Economic and Social Committee on steps the EU should take to realise a just transition policy framework for delivering a carbon neutral, environmentally sustainable, toxic-free, and fully circular society and economy by 2050.

The conference will also focus on eradicating poverty and reconverting industrial sectors, and it will include the presentation of a study evaluating the social dimension of the Green Deal and discussions on possible Council conclusions on just transition.
